Recipe from Starla:
Steak Diane with Mushroom Cream Sauce
(Can substitute chicken if desired)
2 steaks
1 c. mushrooms, sliced
2 TBS butter
1/2 c. heavy cream
1 TBS Dijon mustard
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves of garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides and set aside. In skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add steak and cook to desired doneness. Remove steaks and sauté mushrooms, garlic until tender. Stir in cream, mustard and Worcestershire sauce and cook until it thickens up. Add steaks back into skillet and cover them with sauce. Can serve over mashed potatoes.
