Host Lois Matson examines our culture of self love and its opposite, selflessness. Self love, self care, and self respect are considered good things, but their commonality is self, rather than the other. The two tables of the Law are love to God and love to our neighbor. We need no command to love ourselves, as this comes naturally to us. Our curve (incurvatus in se) is inward, toward our own interests. Jesus our Savior turned outward, toward us, and gave His life for us and our salvation.
