Welcome! In this podcast launch episode I will be:
For many people experiencing separation and divorce, it can feel as if they are standing on the edge of a maze they do not understand, or wish to experience. In family mediation, we try to work with both parties to help them communicate and negotiate in a constructive way. This is based on the foundational belief of modern mediation that people have resources to solve their own problems.
In upcoming episodes I will be looking at some of the tools and ideas which have helped me change my beliefs and behaviour around conflict, and which can help anyone to be more effective and less distressed in conflict situations.
Each week, I look forward to sharing ideas which have influenced me and share some of the thoughts from other professionals who work with separating families.
