I know I touched base on my birthday in a previous episode, but I wanted to share with y'all why it's way more worth celebrating now than before cancer. And how I like to celebrate is not in a big to show kind of way. I like more low key and can quite frankly be good celebrating on my own. But one thing that is different is not having my mom here to even wish me happy birthday. She was almost always the first one for that, even when I lived overseas. I've had birthdays without her, but she was always a phone call away. And not having that is so hard on the heart. But I feel she sends me little nudges from heaven or has recently.
