Why are abortion rights in Quebecs constitution when even pro-choice groups dont want that

The Quebec government is attempting to enshrine abortion rights in its proposed constitution to safeguard them against future challenges, but most pro-choice groups argue this move could actually make the right more vulnerable. Quebec Justice Minister Simon Jolin-Barrette argues that women's rights have come under attack in other Western countries (like the U.S. after the overturning of Roe v. Wade), and he wants to ensure explicit, permanent safeguards are in place for future generations. The government's goal is to protect a right they believe is currently vulnerable if only secured through court decisions.
