It's because we often don't recognize what executive disfunction looks or feels like irl.
We just think we can't get our sh*t together, but the reality is that we can't do what some other people do with ease because of how our brains work. It's a biological reality that our brains function differently.
Which, to be honest, can be really frustrating.
A lot of modern life is heavy on executive functioning. BUT! It's a lot easier to navigate when we don't mistake ADHD for personal failings, and when we learn to work with our brains to get things done.
