I play practice sports with my 8 year old son, so it's not that hard to block him in basketball, or out run him in football or pin him in wrestling. But as humans we don't like to fail, so often we only wrestle with the metaphorical 9 year old. We only face the challenges we know we can beat. And ultimately this keeps men in a substandard and average life. There is always hope to become better, but it requires facing a bigger opponent and recognizing our weaknesses so we can work on and improve them
