We typically avoid hurtful things, emotions that are difficult & uncomfortable. And that is 100% normal, it's what we do to protect ourselves from harm.
BUT, I want you to look at it from a different perspective. Notice that when we avoid the hard things, we are putting greater energy into the avoidance than we would be if we just dealt with it.
