Why Community Matters For Kids in Foster Care - Ep. 17
For Allie, With Love is more than an organization with a cause, it’s a must-have movement. Since 2013, she has brought love and dignity to the forefront of foster care, changing the lives of thousands of families and kids in the community. Prior to starting With Love in her living room, she taught grades four and five, and worked as a supervisor for student and first-year teachers in Marylhurst University’s education department. In Allie’s spare time, she enjoys being around friends and family.

Allie Roth started working in education in 2003. Since 2010 she transitioned to being a classroom teacher and then worked at Marylhurst University as a supervisor to student teachers as well as a mentor to first year teachers for the next eight years. Seeing the needs for kids in foster care as an educator mixed with seeing the needs of her own children With Love, was started in her garage in 2013. As the Founder and President, Allie is extremely involved in every aspect of With Love, and seeing a local difference made in the lives of foster kids in Portland, Oregon.
Now Allie works for With Love as the Founder and President part time. With her leadership With Love has gotten the Fox Be The Change Award in 2017. In 2018 we were recognized for the top 100 nonprofits to work in Oregon. For her hard work in 2018 she was induced into the Hall of Fame at Aloha High School. In 2019 Allie was awarded the Medallion award at Seattle Pacific University for her work with kids in foster care. March 2019 she was recognized as a Heart of The Heart for Adventist Hospitals and was a featured guest at their Gala.
Over the past 4 years 11 babies in foster care have come into her home. Her family focuses on supporting drug effected newborns and providing respite care for other foster care families that have babies. She also has 2 beautiful biological kids who love having all these littles in their home. Her husband, Scott Roth, is the CEO of Legit Script as well as the pro-baby swaddler in the house.
