St Francis of Assisi is credited with saying, "Preach the gospel every day, when necessary, use words."
On the night before his death Jesus preached a sermon with no words when He grabbed a bucket, tied His coat around His waist and started scrubbing feet.
Even on the cross, He used words sparingly and let his suffering and death speak volumes.
This weekend at CrossWalk Church, we are continuing our message series entitled "God's Calling For My Life". This week we will see the witness that we can make by the work that we do.
We're going to be looking at 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4, and see how our works done in love open doors and minds and hearts so that we can share words of love and hope in Jesus.
It is our prayer that others will see your work done in love and come to experience and appreciate God's work done with that same love.
Follow along with your Bible: 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4, verses 9-12 & John, chapter 13, verses 1-5 & 34-35.
Worship throughout your week by listening to CrossWalk’s Spotify playlist. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6oh96lgtXm0f46YtuJHdkL?si=6a78988beb284e4f
Song highlight of the week: "What a Beautiful Name”, by Ben Fielding and Brooke Ligertwood; performed by Hillsong Worship. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5L6QlAH3L4
We sing this song and thank Jesus that He is the all powerful Word who came to earth to live the life we couldn't live to give us the eternal life we could never earn. His name is beautiful, wonderful, and powerful.
The sermon entitled “Using Work as our Witness" was done by Senior Pastor Dan Solofra at CrossWalk Church, in part of the “God's Calling for My Life” message series.
