Why is Donnie Darko so beloved and why does Phil Ranta feel it's unjustly revered??

We're back and Phil Ranta returns to assail one of the most recently beloved cult classics, Donnie Darko. Phil gets on a soapbox and methodically elucidates why this Jake Gyllenhaal and Maggie Gyllenhaal time travel movie ain't no Back to the Future. Phil explains why Frank the rabbit completely screws up the space time continuum, why this movie sends a terrible message to teens with suicidal thoughts, what the hell is going on with the Patrick Swayze role, and how Drew Barrymore's antics wouldn't even be tolerated in 1988, let alone 2023.

Sitting in with Kevin Gootee is his all time favorite co-host, Kevin Israel. Can Phil get the hat trick with his 3rd gutting? Or is his argument worse than Seth Rogen playing the role of a bully in this film. Yep, this happened.
