How many times have you heard the saying, "Failure is not an option"? I've heard it countless times and have probably said it countless times more. While I agree with the motivation that comes from it, I can't say I totally agree with it's meaning. Saying failure is not an option seems counterproductive to me. It's like it's setting you up for just that, failure. I know a lot about this subject having been a "typical" failure all my life. I'm going to tell you you why I think failure IS an option.
