    1. Aware of damage and consequences that doing said action brings, but still participating - why?
    2.  Begin with grace and shame reduction
      1. Not moral failures - addictions, compulsivity, brain chemistry 
        1. Behavior is damaging, humans are not
        2. This is a dis-ease that leads to disease; progressive and pervasive
        3. Requires honesty, transparency, and unpacking
        4. Goal: replace these unwanted numbing behaviors with life-giving behaviors
