Why I Stopped Calling Myself an Entrepreneur
This is likely the most vulnerable I’ve been on camera. I’m not doing enough of what I should be doing, and I don’t want to pretend like I am. In this episode I talk about why I've avoided getting a job, two key parts of entrepreneurship that I’ve failed at thus far, and what was missing in February that lead to me really blowing it.
Just to be clear, I don’t post this so you can give me your validation of “it’s okay Josh, you can do it.” I post this because somehow, someday I’m going to straight dominate in life. When I get to that point, these pieces of content that are going to serve as the truth of my beginnings, and to show people they can build something worthwhile too. Stuff like this will then become some of my most impactful content.
ALSO, debuted the first version of my audio and visual branding at the beginning. Very excited about it :) There'll be a vlog coming soon that documents the process of creating it.
3/29/19 Update
First off, this was hard as hell to post. Tons of resistance to it. Secondly, I may have to get a job whether I like it or not. Whatever the case may be, whether it's contract work or what have you, I'll likely never quit on entrepreneurship. I'll just continue to pivot my way into long term gold. And as of right now, that may mean part time gigs and "eating shit" as Gary Vaynerchuk likes to say. Anyways, we'll see how this all ages as a job is a fucking nightmare to me and I'm not well suited for something traditional.
