Why is there so much confusion about morality in America today? Is it because we lack consensus, or that the consensus is changing so quickly? Is it because we have lost sight of cause and effect? Is it because government has taken to itself executive, legislative and judicial powers previously unimagined? Or is it simply that the lessons of history are not being learned?
