Everyone in conservative media is outraged over the Lankford border bill. But how did we get people like Lankford in the Senate? Yours truly worked to oppose Lankford from day one and warned he was pushing amnesty. Yet Trump has consistently endorsed people like him. Today, I explain why MAGA influencers should act like Esther and intercede on behalf of us with Trump and get him to endorse the right people, initiatives, and strategies. I also explain why the fight over the Lankford bill is something of a distraction designed to move the Overton window. What we really need to do is demand that Speaker Johnson have a shutdown fight over the budget and that state governors like Kristi Noem disincentivize illegal immigration in their states. Finally, I warn how the biggest Esther moment for MAGA bigwigs is to prevent Trump from picking a fake MAGA running mate like Kristi Noem or Tim Scott.

I discuss how the insane tunnel vision on Trump as a person has ironically prevented us from building the infrastructure to fight back effectively now that Trump and the rest of us are being targeted in a way that’s reminiscent of a third world country. We’re joined by legal expert Josh Hammer, senior editor at large of Newsweek, for an analysis of where the Trump conviction goes from here. Hammer believes it’s likely Trump will be put in jail and stresses the need to fight back against Biden using lawfare in red states. We both believe that charging Biden for human smuggling and immigration violations is the best political play at this point. Either way, how can we just leave things to chance?

She attributes the successes to a clear focus on critical issues the people understood, as well as the unique aspect of having statewide leaders who allied with us.
