Brady shares his courage journey after his son Nash was diagnosed with Down syndrome, symbolizing the start of an impactful family mission. Brady and his wife Andrea's experiences, including the addition of children with unique needs and a pivotal incident involving Nash, transformed their perspective, steering them from mere survival to seeking a fulfilled life. Confronting the challenges of disability, the Murrays harnessed their struggles to create CaringTide, aiming to support and empower other families navigating similar paths.

Brady and Andrea also founder the non-profit, Rod's Heroes whose mission is to inspire families to adopt children with Down syndrome or other unique circumstances, from the US and all of the world. In March of 2016, the Brady's adopted Cooper at age 4 who also has Down Syndrome from China after being abandoned on the street corner. We discuss how I first heard of Cooper and Rod's Heroes while watching NBC Nightly News. There was a story featuring "Super Cooper" who has a goal of throwing the First Pitch in all 30 MLB Stadiums showing the world the Miracle of Down Syndrome! What an inspiring story of a family making a difference in the lives of so many!!! I had the privilege of attending the Washington Nationals game with the Brady family and my siblings to see Cooper throw out the First Pitch!

Laura shared her courage story of doing an annual 22 day smartphone detox/cleanse. Laura's father was killed in 2003 at the age of 54 when he was hit by a distracted driver. Laura talked about how she has worked with Joel Feldman on advocacy work around distracted drivers. Joel's daughter, Cassy, was also killed by a distracted driver at 21 years old Laura puts down her smartphone except to use as a phone for the 22 days between the date of Cassy's death and her fathers death. Laura shares her many lessons she has learned over the years from her smartphone detox. Bite Me Cancer has provided over 13,000 Teen Support Bags for teenage cancer patients and funded its 10th grant for research. Sharon had her Why Not Today? moment while commuting to work one day and listening to a Tony Robbins tape that asked "if you could you do anything, what would it be?" Sharon made the decision to leave her corporate job 3 months later to work with her husband at Training Solutions. We talked about how Sharon leans on her faith and the scripture John 3:16. We also talked about the DiSC personality profile assessments which she uses in her training company. We discussed our different personality profiles and how we can use them to adjust to our environment. Sharon encourages others to live life in full, in the now! Just take one step at a time!
