Motivational speaker Luke Mickelson was raised in Kimberly,

Idaho, where community values, character development, and service were
foundational aspects of daily life. A committed athlete and lifelong
competitor,  Mickelson dedicated his
efforts to youth programs, coaching, and mentoring—cultivating both a passion
for developing people and a talent for leadership. Although he continued this
commitment into his business career, he sought a more profound impact. In 2012,
 Mickelson founded Sleep in Heavenly
Peace (SHP), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization driven by the
mission, “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.” What began as a singular act
of generosity has since evolved into an international movement. Currently, SHP
operates over 400 chapters across 47 U.S. states and four countries, and has
delivered more than 350,000 beds to children in need.

 Mickelson has

provided training and mentorship to hundreds of chapter leaders, disseminating
a model for community-driven transformation and motivating thousands to engage
in purposeful service. His contributions have been acknowledged by prominent
media outlets, including Mike Rowe’s Returning the Favor, CNN Heroes (Top 10
finalist), NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Good Morning America, The Today
Show, People Magazine, and American Ninja Warrior. These recognitions highlight
his steadfast commitment to the “Humans Helping Humans” philosophy. Presently,
Mr. Mickelson travels nationwide as a keynote speaker, guest, and podcast host,
inspiring audiences to recognize the significant impact of small acts of
kindness and to find fulfillment in serving others within their own
communities.
