Why So Serious Pop Culture and Movie Review Podcast

Brandon and Rashanii are back to review the single most over rated film of 2018 Bohemian Rhapsody. This is a mess of a film that clearly had too much input from the surviving members of Queen. There was no character development outside of Freddy, bad pacing, completely implausible scenes, but at the same time an incredible performance by Rami Malek.

Brandon and Rashanii are back to review one of our favorite films of the Year Vice. This is a film about the life of former Vice President Dick Cheney and his rise to power. This film pulls no punches on how much of a Super Villain Dick Cheney actually was/is.

Brandon and Devin are back to catch up on stuff as Devin has been in Texas training for his new job.

We are joined by Rich Fann and Cameron Hawkins from the PWTorch to recap Royal Rumble Weekend. Rich and Cam are two of the best wrestling podcasters around and we dive deep into NXT Takeover Phoenix and the 2019 Royal Rumble.

Brandon, Sharmane and Rashanii are back to review one of the best films of the year If Beale Street Could Talk.

"I Hope Nobody has ever had to look at anybody they love through glass" - James Baldwin. This film by Barry Jenkins (Best Picture; Moonlight) brings Balwin's fictional story to live in a very real way.

Brandon, Mike, Steph and Sharmane are back for another Retro Review. This time we hop in the time machine and head back to 2005 home of the Whisper Song and the Xbox 360 to re-watch The Fantastic Four. This is the fantastic four film with Chris Evans playing the human torch and its amazing he got chosen to be Captain America.. this film is horrid.

Brandon, Rashanii and Devin are back to review Aquaman starring Jason Mamoa and Directed by James Wan. This film is DC's most successful film yet however it still falls short as a film.

We talk about the horrible score, Aquaman just being Jason Mamoa under water, the wasting of a really good cast, the overbooked plot, the color template, and how DC moves forward.

We are Back!!!! Sorry about the break.... my move to San Diego took more time than I thought. But we are back with our reviews and shows and we kick off the new year with my favorite film of 2018 Spider-Man into the Spider Verse. Myself, Devin and Old Man Wade discuss how much we loved this film.

Brandon, Mike and Devin are joined by two of our favorite people Lauren and Gabby from the 2 Woke Gurls podcast. We haven't had Lauren and Gabby on in a while and it was great talking to them. We talk about what they been up too, Black Family food day, Texas life and so much more.

This time we are here to review a very good sequel Creed 2. Most sequels are just money grabs based on the first film success but this is the rare sequel that is pretty damn close to as good as the original.

We talk about the precise moment when Sylvester Stallone learned how to act, Tessa Thompson stealing the show, the Rocky movie formula still works, the disability controversy and so much more.
