Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner has proposed Oxley Creek to be transformed into a metropolitan-scale public park. 

Tennyson Ward Councillor, Nicole Johnston has told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive that council and state governments have not been working together to move forward. 

"There's just not enough funding, not enough priority, and too much political bickering between both levels of government about improving it," said Councillor Johnston.
