Words matter. You know it. You’ve felt their impact. You’ve been on both sides of words that have hurt. You’ve been in relationships in which words caused the riff that ended it. Words matter. They linger & last.  They wound and heal. And we’re going see by the time we’re done today how Jesus’ brother, James, says that words don’t just matter, they’re not just important.  He makes a bold claim:  Words determine direction.
