The Torah matters. David Stern writes, “The New Testament does not repeat truths already evident from the Tanakh [Old Testament]; it assumes them.” The Jewish disciples of Yeshua who wrote the New Testament understood this and worked tirelessly to help people understand the Torah through the eyes of Yeshua our Messiah. Rather than seeing the Torah as a list of do’s and don’ts, they portrayed the Torah for what it really is; a living, breathing love letter from God. They wanted Jews to live by it and Gentiles to understand it. The Torah applies to everyone. But it applies to everyone differently. “Why Torah Matters” is part 3 of the series “Why?”.
