Welcome to worship as we begin our journey through Lent.  We will be exploring the question ‘Why was Jesus crucified?’ looking at the social and cultural issues that came his way.  Why was he loved and hated, welcomed and rejected, wanted yet feared?  It will never be a complete answer to the question. The intention is as we explore the question we might come to a fuller understanding of how someone who preached in word and action a message of love and reconciliation with God ultimately died a criminal’s death.  This week we look at the story of his rejection by his home town and ponder if the message was just to radical to accept.     

Included is reading from Luke 4:16-30 and the reflection on it.
