New Year, New Me! Right??
If you are like us, then like clockwork, the new year comes around and suddenly you feel this intense pressure to CHANGE EVERYTHING!!!
Is it wrong to have resolutions? Are we setting ourselves up for failure?
In this podcast episode Edie and her daughter Emme discuss the importance of perseverance and continuous effort in achieving resolutions. Edie shares her approach of setting 90-day goals instead of year-long resolutions, and Emme shares her struggles in sticking with goals.
They also talk about the pressure and comparison in goal-setting, especially in the era of social media. The hosts encourage reframing failure as a stepping stone towards success and practicing self-compassion. They emphasize the idea of enjoying the journey rather than fixating on the end result.
