We fail so many reasons, but most importantly we fail because we do not know our divine contract meaning what we've contracted to do while sojourning on time space called earth. That contract is our purpose, talents and gifts and how we are to us it. So, in effort to find it, we end up trying to fit in which then swirl us away from it resulting in failure. There's a place for each of everyone of us to fill, something for each person to do and time for both.
