In this episode, we are talking about vulnerability, authenticity and why so many of us hold parts of ourselves back around other people.
I think most people are performing a little bit more than they realise. Filtering what they say, trying to come across a certain way, avoiding being fully honest or keeping parts of themselves hidden because it feels safer - me included.
We get into why being vulnerable can feel so uncomfortable, how that links to nervous system safety and self protection, and why opening up a bit more often creates deeper connection, trust and rapport with other people.
This isn’t about oversharing or suddenly telling everyone your deepest thoughts. It’s more about dropping the constant self-editing and allowing yourself to be seen more honestly.
Because usually, when one person is real, it gives everyone else permission to be too.
If you’ve ever struggled to open up, worried about judgement or felt like you hold parts of yourself back, this episode will probably resonate.
