Bringing in the title of a book I had to read and analyze in college, "Leading Lives That Matter," it is time to talk about the importance of REST.

If you feel like you're STRUGGLING to keep up with the speed of your life, I want to share 5 tips to make sure that you are slowing down to take care of yourself.

  1. No screen time before bed.
  2. Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. 
  3. Make sure you’re moving your body. 
  4. Rest means more than just sleeping or napping. 
  5. Take time off if you need to. 

People need you and you do have responsibilities and priorities to fulfill. Those don’t matter if you aren’t healthy and rested. So take care of yourself. Give yourself grace. Let those who need to know know that you need to slow down and get some extra rest. I hope this was a timely message for you today. Take care of yourself, this world and our community needs you healthy so you can help us light the way!
