Why You Need to Build a Personal Brand If You Want to Make Money

If you're a multi-passionate person or entrepreneur, you'll want to listen to today's episode because I'm going to tell you why it's so important to build a personal brand. Listen up--It's one simple answer if you want to make money with what you're doing. Create a Personal Brand. 

When I got my very first car, a Volvo, I got a personalized license plate. That's me unintentionally branding myself. I stood out for one reason and that's what got me noticed. Think about how I got noticed and you'll get a better idea of personal branding.

You need a personal brand if you want to turn that “jobby” into a business that makes money. During this episode, you'll learn a few things about how to cash in on your efforts. You'll learn how to grow your network, influence, and your bank account by standing out… and to do that you need a personal brand.

Here's a question I get asked often... What's the best way to promote multiple things at once? 

Your personal brand shows off your true identity. If you're not walking into your true identity, you will not be able to be successful as a multi-passionate entrepreneur.

The first thing in building your brand is knowing who you are. It's easy to build a brand, but it's going to flop if you don’t know who you really are and create based on your authentic self. If you are struggling to find your true self here are some questions to ask yourself:

Who are you?
What do you represent?
What do you stand for?
What are you okay with?
What are you not okay with?
What are your deal breakers?
What do people experience when they're around you?
How are you different from everyone else?

We all have gifts. We've all been given skills that we'll use on earth to accomplish our missions. Identify your gifts and use them.

Let your emotions show on your Instagram but remember this isn't your diary. This isn't a vent session. But allow yourself to evolve feelings and use emotional sales techniques.

No matter what you do or promote, you must be the heart and soul of your business. You can promote anything and everything. You should always promote it the same way because it's all about you and you're what sells it.
