When we put anything or anyone above God in our lives, that thing or that person becomes an idol. There is nothing that we should want more than God. God should always be first in our lives. Do not look up to people or to things to satisfy voids in your heart that only God can satisfy. Idols never satisfy. May we all learn to crucify the flesh and be led by the Spirit of God.
