What he actually built was the Oneida Community: a theological experiment where one man decided he had transcended sin… and therefore didn’t have to follow the same moral rules as everyone else.

The result? Communal living, “complex marriage,” spiritualized control, and a slow-motion collapse that reads less like church history and more like satire — except it all really happened.
