Governor Lamont has signed a declaration enabling the Connecticut General Assembly to adopt legislation appropriating $284-million dollars to Medicaid funding. The Connecticut Department of Social Services estimated that amount needed to ensure that payments continue to be made to health care providers under this program. Not everyone is applauding the decision, including state Republicans. Senator Jason Perillo shared the worries about breaking fiscal guardrails with this decision.
