This information-packed tour allows guests to truly understand and appreciate the city of Providence, as well as get some great restaurant tips and things to do. Other topics covered include history, transportation, colleges, events, and much more! While the tour costs nothing to attend, Pinwheel Tourism embraces a “pay-as-you-like” model; that is, if you enjoy the tour, you may pay what you believe it was worth. Tours meet from Thursday through Sunday at 10 AM on the back steps of the Rhode Island State House, with a noon option on the weekends. Providence Station, the Renaissance Downtown Providence Hotel, and the Providence Place Mall will all be visible. The tour is about one and a half hours and covers less than 2.5 miles. The tour route is wheelchair accessible. Tours run rain or shine.
