Pink Flamingo - the pink bird on the cans of Natural Lite "Naturdays" that my friend Billy and picked up on our pizza shop break to sip on while in the studio recording with Chelsea Lyn Meyer.

I really was learning how to write with my other hand at the time. I had wrist pain in my dominant hand and was giving it a rest.

My mom did always say "Can't means won't" a lot too. That stuck with me.

This song was inspired by the Wine and Jazz Fest that my husband and I used to go for a few years in a row. It was so much fun wandering around and dancing in the great outdoors while listening to talented jazz artists, and sipping our wine from the tasting tents. It was a special time. We got engaged there in June 2013 and were married in October.

Inspiration for this song came from being in two weddings in one day. One for two of my good friends from high school, and the other for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. What a day! It was awesome. It went so smoothly, with little coordination and intervention on my part. One wedding happened to be earlier in the day, the other later, and I was able to wear the same dress to both since the brides chose the same color. It was meant to be all the way around. I was reflecting on how many beautiful, loving, people I am blessed to know and have known in my life, and just how many circles of family and friends I got to see all in one day!
