Connor Hellebuyck has finally been traded...and apparently Dylan Larkin took that personally.
Nikita Kucherov decided to remind the league that not only U.S. Olympic team members can request a trade.
The Home Town Remix Jerseys come out on Monday (and they are awesome).
The Wild are pretty good, the Knights are pretty awful....but what else is new.
and somehow we made it 20 minutes without anyone swearing....a new record...I think
We are back, and just like the Minnesota Wild we were both week to week with upper-body injuries (hence why we took a break). The NHL is off to it's usual weird and wacky start. Good teams are great, bad teams are bad, and the Flyers are....yeah.
Also...Vegas and Minnesota met for the first time this season, so it is a minor miracle that we are still even friends after that.
The regular season is on the horizon...literally...and there is still a lot worth talking about. From Vegas to Minnesota, from Larkin to Hellebuyck, and from the NHL board of governors to the Federal Governments probe into Mark Walter....we cover a lot of ground on this episode.
NHL training camp has officially opened for the 26-27 season. It is just like back to school day for every NHL name you know and love....except for Dylan Larkin and Connor Hellebuyck. On this episode, we talk at length about the weird and honestly funny stuff that goes on at the early days of NHL training camp, take a deep dive on the happenings in Vegas and Minnesota, and as always....address the elephant in the room...
We are back after taking a season away to do that lawyer thing we do for another year of the Wild Knights Podcast. This episodre includes the least linear look at a crazy NHL free agency summer, a recap of the rumors gripping the NHL, and a look on the eve of NHL training camp at the Minnesota Wild and Vegas Golden Knights.
NHL free agency has come and gone...a month ago now (but this was recorded shortly after free agency...
Vegas had a good time, and Minnesota had a ... time
The NHL draft has come and gone with little to no joy around it....
Proposed changes to the CBA for the 26-27 season have been leaked and they look...interesting...
Finally...Mitch and Vegas....I wonder how this will turn out...
The Florida Panthers have won the Stanley Cup...Again...because of course they did. We are all pretty happy to not see McDavid hoist the cup for various different reasons, and now we can move on to the most interesting part of the year...that weird phase between the cup, the draft, and free agency.
we also discuss the craziness that was the PWHL expansion draft for Vancouver and Seattle and air our frustrations at what that league needs to do better to attract and retain more fans (and how to handle the next expansion better).
Finally the news never stops in the NHL as there were a handful of trades, signings, and league investigations to talk about.
It's been 6 months, and a lot of hockey has happened. On this episode we break down the first 2 games of the 2025 SCF, why both conference finals losing coaches probably should be fired, the series between Vegas and Minnesota that nearly ended the podcast, and the way too early predictions about the Vegas and Minnesota off-seasons.
McDavid has been suspended for 3 games for his cross-check to the face. Corry Perry said one thing then immediately did the opposite. Carolina and Colorado make a blockbuster trade (Chicago was there too kinda).
Vegas still sucks
Minnesota still sucks

Covering all the news, notes, and happenings in Vegas and Minnesota Hockey. And...when we are bored the rest of the NHL, PWHL, and everything in the hockey landscape.
