Howdy and Welcome back to Wild West Deep Dives. This is Part 1 of our Deep Dive Series into the life of Hugh Glass.

Hugh Glass, known as the legendary fur trapper that survived a bear attack and had an almost unbelievable story of survival. As well as being the inspiration behind the movie the Revenant. But.. did you know he was pirate? Your damn right, Hugh Glass was a pirate. There is a whole lot more to Hugh Glass then Hollywood portrayed.

We got pirates, we got Native Americans, we got a bear attack, and most importantly, we have his damn rifle!

Howdy and Welcome back to Wild West Deep Dives.

This Short Dive is about a man named Bill Wilson, he was a Missouri Bushwhacker during the American Civil War. A Bushwhacker, is a confederate symphosizer who is not associated with the Confederate Army, a Jayhawker, was a Union symphosizer who is not associated with the Union army. Both sides had these guerrilla fighters that raised hell during the war.

This episode was inspired by a book called; Bushwhacker, by George Clinton Arthur. I will be doing my own short of story telling, but all the information, events, quotes, etc. came from Mr. Arthurs book.

Bill Wilson was also the inspiration behind the movie; Outlaw Josey Wales. 

Reminder; I titled this episode "The Legend" of Bill Wilson as there are not many cold hard facts that can be found on Mr. Wilson. This episode was a lot of fun to research and record as there are voice actors, sound effects, anything I could do to make it seem authentic and like you are in the moment. I hope y'all enjoy it!

Next week; the episode will be a little update episode as I have episodes in the works, but I'll only release episodes when I have series completed, I don't want to release an episode and then have to skip a week because the next one isn't finished.

Seth Bullock is one of the most legendary figures of the West.
He was a pioneer of the frontier, if you're like me, I always thought of Seth Bullock as a lawman of the West, of the likes of Wyatt Earp, Wild Bill Hickok and many others. But as I dug into his life and who he was as a man. I began to learn of a man who was less lawman, but more business man, pioneer, entrepreneur, husband and father. He took chances on business and went against the path and in the end, helped in the creation of towns that still stand and thrive today! 

In Part 1, we will discuss his childhood, his early adulthood, his work in Montana and his arrival in Deadwood. Well, let's get into it shall we!

Hello and welcome back to Wild West Deep Dives.
This is part 2 of our Deep Dive Series into the life of Annie Oakley.
Last week, we talked about her tough upbringing and her fighting her way out of it! Her becoming a local star for her shooting ability by beating her future husband in a shooting match. Her first few shows with Mr. Frank Butler, then her getting adopted by Chief Sitting Bull, who was the victor over George Armstrong Custer at the battle of the Little Big Horn.
This week, she joins Buffalo Bills Wild West Show, has a rivalry with another female sharpshooter and gets arrested. Then we will go into her later life, her acting career and much more.
