Derek Hom talks about quitting his engineering job, building a food trailer (including plumbing, electrical, etc.), learning how to make Belgian Liege Waffles, setting up his business, and selling his waffles and coffee at a brewery just six weeks later. Wilder Waffle Co. is now in business, and you can enjoy their waffles and coffee at various events in the St. Croix Valley. 

Derek's five-month-old son, Henry, joined us during this recording. Henry was the inspiration behind this career change for Derek. After contemplating daycare costs and potential missed time during these younger years, Derek and his wife decided to shift toward a career that would allow him to stay home with Henry.
