What if God is doing His deepest work during the very season when it feels like nothing is happening?

Waiting can feel like empty space between our prayers and God’s answers. But what if it isn’t empty at all?

After planting a new Bloomerang lilac tree, a simple instruction from the nursery became an unexpected lesson from the Holy Spirit. Sometimes a tree isn’t watered immediately so its roots will grow deeper in search of life. In that ordinary moment came a quiet whisper:

“It is in the waiting that your roots grow deep.”
