Almost 2000 years ago Jesus of Nazareth was crucified on Friday, dead on Saturday, and alive again on Sunday. By looking at the accounts from all four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) we get a more comprehensive understanding of the day of all days, Sunday, April 5, AD 33.

Palm Sunday marks the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. For the first time in his ministry Jesus allowed people to openly express their hopes that he was indeed Israel's Messiah. The entry was celebrated but very unlike the entrance of other kings into royal cities. In fact, if the original triumphal entry was all we knew about Jesus kingdom we would be unsatisfied. Thankfully the original triumphal entry was only the beginning of "Jesus unmasked". We have a complete picture of His kingdom in Revelation 7:9-17. When we compare and contrast the historic entry with the scene in Revelation 7, profound practical truths for how we live our lives begin to emerge.

Haman is dead but the threat still remains for God’s people. Esther pleads for their lives and they are empowered by the King. After a victorious battle, the Jews celebrate and the Feast of Purim is established. In the final reversal mentioned in this book, Mordecai is set in the place of Haman as the second in command. His legacy is as a man who sought the welfare of his people.
