The people of God had lost the fear of the Lord. Their worship was an afterthought and their spiritual health was anemic. God called all to repentance but saved a harsh rebuke for the priests. They were cowards. Years later, Peter and John would say all Christians are “priests.” Priests are called to honor God by living courageous lives.

On October 31, 1517, a thirty-three year old priest named Martin Luther nailed 95 questions and statements to the door of The Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany.  The “theses” were designed to spark discussion about some of the practices and theology of the Church...but they did more than that. Luther's action ignited a movement called The Reformation. The "Five Solas" summarize this important historical period.

Wildwood worship services are planned with simplicity and clarity as we seek to declare the greatness of God. The goal is to glorify God and edify His people. Our desire is for God to delight as He moves us from delusion of hope in the temporal to certainty of hope in the eternal. We strive to embody and uphold ten values along the way.

Corporate Worship is a beautiful and powerful gift God has given His people.  God did not leave it up to His children to try and figure out what should take place in a worship service.  He has taken out the guess work without taking away our creativity and freedom.  Corporate worship, just like all of life, is regulated and instructed by God.

Happiness and celebration cannot be the exclusive moods involved in true worship. Sometimes life is overwhelming and dark. Worshipping in the dark moments of our lives is not natural, it is supernatural. Even though it sometimes can’t be felt, God meets His worshippers in the dark.
