1. Pray that God will show you your sin before he judges you for it. 

2. When you see your sin, waste no time and repent of it. 

3. Plead the forgiveness of God who can turn the place of trouble into a place of grace.

3. Fear of leadership losses. 

How Courage Supports our Faith

1. Courage inspires our faith in God’s promises.
2. Courage strengthens our obedience to God’s commands.
3. Courage stills our hearts in God’s presence.

 Means to Build Courage

1. Meditate on and obey God’s Word.
2. Rely on the Lord’s presence.
3. Trust in the Savior’s deliverance.

Title: A Call To Arms

Text: 1 Peter 4:1-2

 1.A call to be armed with the example of Christ.

• Christ’s suffering is a vital weapon in our warfare.

• We should be willing to suffer for righteousness because:

  -It is the way Christ suffered.

-Christ suffered for us.

-We are called for this purpose.

 2.A call to be armed with the mind of Christ.

• Remember Christ’s submissive spirit.

•  Remember Christ’s forgiving spirit.

3.A call to be armed with the victor’s character.

• A victorious sufferer ceases from sin.

-This does not suggest we will never sin again.

-We are no longer under the power of sin, but of Christ.

  -Sin no longer holds the same grip on the victor since we are dead to sin and alive to God.

 4.A call to be armed with the purpose of Christ.

• Christ’s purpose was to do the will of the Father.

Life is short! Pursue God’s will.
