Will 9-To-5 Jobs Be Gone By 2034?

In the past few years, one trend I’ve heard brought up over and over again is this — the gig and creator economies are rising.

But it was only last week, when I saw an email in my inbox, that I realized its implications.

The subject line read:

9–5 jobs will be gone by 2034 (Freelancing is the future)

It contained a newspaper article on how Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, predicted that 9-to-5 jobs would be gone by 2034.
