FEATURING JOHN BEARD – Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia has cast a blow to climate legislation by pulling out of talks at the last minute, after months of indicating that he was willing to work with members of his own party to pass legislation on the on-going climate catastrophe.
In response, President Joe Biden is reportedly considering declaring a climate emergency– a step that hundreds of environmental groups have been calling on him to take, and a step that would give him the executive authority to take climate-friendly steps without going through Congress.
