Will Sean Podcast? episodes

  • Ep. 168 - Anna Koppel - Boom, Full Circle
Anna Koppel of AfterBuzz TV is our guest this week. What’s the value and purpose of recap culture? Are there shows that probably don’t warrant a recap? Letterman ended his late night show - three non fans discuss. Why do we love watching disaster films? Weddings have gotten out of control, Will calls out these hijackers for what they are. Every episode of the podcast is a Japanese “crying room."

  • Ep. 167 - Sam Zia - Hate the Game
Sam Zia returns to the show, again.  On Playboy Radio’s “The Couch,” Sam - a licensed sex therapist - and two lovely (far lovelier than him) co-hosts spend an hour getting to know and talking through the sexual and relationship issues of one lucky guest. He attempts to counsel us, results are varied. Mad Men ended, we unpack the final suitcase. The report on “Deflategate” was released, we discuss those cheating cheaters the New England Patriots. One of Will’s favorite films of the decade, “Zero Dark Thirty” might be a film based atop a palace of lies. Manatees have a better sex life than any of us - lucky sea cows.

  • Ep. 165 - Jim D'Amato - Special Victim Artists
Jim D’Amato is a New Tork based artist whose works straddle the line between the sinuously organic and the geometrically artificial. He’s also our guest this week. We talk art. It gets heady. Also, he’s our first phone-in guest in over a year. Technology FTW. May weather and Pacquiao has their historic “Fight of the Century,” and everybody lost. Pacquiao’s name has way too many vowels. You don’t realize it until you type it out. Is there a pop culture figure you admire who, if they criticized your work, it would sting more than if it came from someone else? Prom invites are getting out of hand. Slow your rolls, High Schoolers, it’s all downhill from here. Frozen pizza thieves are on the loose in Alaska! Hide yo’ wife! Hide yo’ kids! Hide yo’ pizza!

  • Ep. 164 - Jennifer Lieberman - Little Dorritt
Jennifer Lieberman is a busy person. This writer/actress/director has a book of erotic poetry, an 80’s inspired musical web series, a one woman show about her sexual awakening in NYC, and co-stars on Tommy Wiseau’s Hulu series, Neighbors. So yah, the interview is long. Do late night talk shows even matter anymore, or is it okay that they’ve devolved into glorified talent competitions? Jeremy Renner got himself into a little trouble at an Avengers press junket, we discuss. Ben Affleck owned slaves or something like that, we didn’t read the whole article, so, for the sake of brevity, let’s just say that Ben Affleck ABSOLUTELY owned (and owns) slaves. The Bunny Ranch is looking to hire quality control specialists, and Will needs a new job, just saying.

  • Ep. 163- Summer 2015 Movie Preview
We’re back from hiatus and ready to tackle this summer’s glut of sequels, reboots,  and prequels; sometimes, as is the case of “Terminator: Genisys” a movie manages to be all three of those things at once. Who cares anyways because, on December 18th, THE FORCE AWAKENS ALL OVER YOUR FACE!!!

  • Ep. 162 - Brynn Stanley - We Were on a Break!
Brynn Stanley is a talented singer-songwriter with her first album on he way. She joins us this week to talk music and to share her amazingly catchy, head-boppingly boppy new song, “You’re the One.” Then, as we are wont to do, we force her to stick around to talk pop culture. Trevor Noah was announced as Jon Stewart’s replacement on “The Daily Show.” The internet giveth, and the internet taketh away - we discuss the kerfuffle. Should Will audition for the upcoming season of “Big Brother?” The answer is YES! “Mad Men” returns for its final seven episodes, and we’re all kinda over it. Turn up the dial and prepare to dance around the room.

  • Ep. 161 - Christine Blackburn - Wilbert
Christine Blackburn, author of the recently released “PIT to LAX: My Story Worthy Life” is our guest this week. After working as a flight attendant and joining the Peace Corps, a cancer diagnosis pushed Christine to Los Angeles to finally begin living her dream. Her podcast, “Story Worthy,” features stories from some of Hollywood’s most interesting talents. HBO aired the anti-Scientology documentary, “Going Clear,” this week. Sean and Will are considering heading to the Celebrity Center for an audit. Justin Bieber was roasted. Did they stick an apple in his mouth? Community is back for a sixth season on Yahoo Screen, but some blessings are actually curses in disguise. Who wants to come over and watch a twelve hour road trip on television?

  • Ep. 160 - Micki Grover and Meredith Donahue - Palpatine v. Kentucky
Micki Grover and Meredith Donahue wrote a book! It’s about cats! More specifically, “Cats You Never Learned About in History Class.” It's kind of adorable . They take us back to school. Let’s talk about the “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” especially that theme song (It’s a miracle!!!). Who was one of your first celebrity crushes, and do you still stand by that early passionate flush of youthful desire? March Madness is upon us and you know what that means - BRACKETS! Will intends to break some of yours. Vietnam is not big on cinematic BDSM, apparently.

  • Ep. 159 - Aynsley Bubbico - Wemosas
Aynsley Bubbico, actress from the shows "Greek" and "Heart of Dixie" is our guest this week. Nine years ago she quit her job, packed her bags, and came to Hollywood. Things worked out pretty good for her, we'd say. LAarry David is starring on Broadway; despite lukewarm reviews, performances are selling out. When did the Great White Way become just as craven and star driven as Hollywood? We finally get around to discussing that lying liar who lies, Brian Williams. Unfortunately, we don't have much to say on the topic. Will needs to buy an Apple Watch - society demands it of him. Whose body would you want your hea transplanted on to?
