We're back after a quick hiatus and were inspired by Lydia's current tropical location to cover traveling with friends. We're talking through the trials, tribulations (and joys!!!) of traveling with our friends, and drop our experiences and some helpful tips on how to make the most of a friend trip.
This episode we're covering a lot: The FOMO of seeing your friends hanging out with their other friends, how to contribute to a trip, why consistency and commitment is key, navigating budget and points of friction, and picking the right trip for your group.

We're coming in hot this week with a very special guest episode! Join us as we sit down with Blake Blankenbecler, a Charleston-based Friend Educator and Licensed Therapist. When we say there's something for everyone in this episode, we mean it! We're covering SO many topics: Boundaries, shame and guilt, dirty and clean pain, friendship myths, how to talk about difficult topics, why you should talk about your friendships in therapy, how to navigate a friend breakup, grounding your friendship in reality, and so much more. Whether this is new information or maybe a timely reminder, we loved Blake's thoughtful guidance around some of the stickiest and hardest parts of friendship, and hope you do too.

We promised new guests would be gracing us soon and here we are with a guest we are SO excited about. Meet Samantha, the founder of & the table, a dinner series she started in Amsterdam where six women show up solo to a dinner table for a delicious meal and nourishing conversation.
& the Table strives to become the dinner experience to facilitate women to engage with new ambitious women in and out of their city that they have not crossed paths with yet. It’s driven by the notion that you can never stop learning from the perspectives of the women around you and helps build connections beyond the casual "what do you do for work" in order to strengthen the foundation of the ambitious women you meet.
We're always energized by conversations that stretch our ideas and feelings around meeting new women, showing up wholeheartedly and chasing the joy in connection. And Samantha and & the table is a true embodiment of that.

Happy Thursday! We're back with a new episode where we're covering how we're approaching some changes in our lives. We're both facing some big shifts with Lydia returning to the office and Lulu moving in with her partner which led us to musing about how to prioritize friendships as we navigate those adjustments and establish new routines. We're covering how we can approach making plans like habit stacking (from our favorite book, Atomic Habits), the 3 parts to making a plan with friends (and where we get hung up), how the pandemic has shifted our approach meeting up with friends, the things that demotivate us from catching up, and why our friends are often the perfect remedy to it.
Get involved! We'd love to hear from you.

Inspired by last week's episode, we're keeping it short and sweet by focusing on the three strikes rule. We've talked about boundaries ad nauseam on this podcast, but we loved the simplicity of @heymisskelssey's approach: Giving someone three opportunities to change a behavior. The intention each time is a little different, but this framework offers the opportunity for growth in our friendship while prioritizing respect and boundaries individually. We're covering self-awareness (or lack thereof), reciprocity in our friendships, and how feedback can help you grow in your friendships.

We're coming in hot with a a new episode that delves into one of the worst friendship experiences: Being dropped by a friend group. Whew, anyone else cringe just thinking about this?
While this is something that we might have experienced more frequently growing up, this dynamic still persists into adulthood and even though we're older and wiser, being left out still hurts just as much. We're covering a lot: Including the stages of being iced out, how to change the script and address it, why someone might get dropped from a group, group dynamics and group think, the myth of the girl group, mourning the loss of a friendship, what to do when you're on the other side of dropping a friend, and how to move forward with your friendships in the future.
Past episodes we referenced:
Questions of the week: What would you say to someone who is going through this right now? What advice would you give to someone who might be considering dropping a friend from a group?

This week we're coming to you from hell! That's a joke, well, mostly. We are starting this episode off by addressing the overturning of Roe V. Wade and how we're coping (terribly, thanks for asking!). We're sharing how we're trying to keep some positivity alive, but more importantly make a difference! If you, like us, struggle with feeling that you're not doing enough right now, here are some ideas we shared:
In the second half, we're switching gears and giving a little bit of an escape with a more lighthearted topic. This week we're covering how our friends influence us and vice versa. We've been seeing lots of posts and questions about pressure and influence from friends and we thought it was a great time to address it. We're covering the types of pressure we commonly see and how we try to balance our individual identities with belonging or listening to people whose opinions matter. We're also talking about the things we've been influenced to try or buy along the way thanks to our friends.
Question of the week: What are you most influenced to purchase from your friends recommendations?
Here are the products that we mentioned (*we're not selling anything, nor do we get commission, we just love these products*):
And in case you missed it: We're taking a break for the month of July, but will be back and better than ever in August!

We're hoping to refocus our priority on friendships during a season that for us is synonymous with fun and quality time with the people we care about most. We're sharing how we're approaching plans this summers and the ways we're pushing our introvert selves to make the most of this season.
Question of the week: What's your promise to yourself to bring some summer fun into your friendships?
