What grips your heart? What really grips it? What drives you? What compels you?

Is it worth it?

Today, we trace out whether whatever it is that drives you is really worth it. We do it by tracing out what gripped the hearts of the families of Cain and of Seth and seeing whether it was worth it in them. And finally we trace out what grips the heart of God...

Its a short journey from forbidden fruit to murder. One generation and one jealous brother kills another. 'Am I my brother's keeper?' No, but you shouldn't be his murderer either. The sad reality of the fall. Murdered and Murderer meet God Almighty and so do we in today's session. If this is what's happened in one generation what will happen in a multitude of generations?

The fallout of which blasts hope for all humanity through history as the ultimate showdown hurtles toward the cross.

Imagine living in Eden and then, 900 years later seeing the murder of your son, the creation in crisis and every heart inclined to evil. And imagine wondering what God would do about it. Today, on a dusty road in Luke 24, two hearts are inspired by Jesus. This is the first of the 'Meet God Almighty MeGA' Sermons: 'the Fellowship of the Burning Hearts'. As we kick off our multi-year sermon series tracing the meetings of humanity with God Almighty in the bible our burning desire is to seek the Face of God and find the Face of Jesus. Two hearts burning on a dusty road. Why not us? May it be so. Amen.

Our sixth New Year's sermon as a church! And again, at the dawn of the year, say hello to God, the God of more and more. If we were to look back at the end of 2018 will our love have been genuine? Will we have shared our lives? Hello 2018, Hello to the God of grace who will give more and more in 2018...
