The metal framework for the future Wilson County Expo Arena, under construction on S.H. 97 next to the Wilson County Expo and Community Center in Floresville, has collapsed. Shortly after the collapse just before 3 p.m. March 4, Wilson County Judge Hank Whitman arrived at the site to assess the situation.  Wilson County Pct. 2 Commissioner Russell King, along with local law enforcement personnel, also responded.  Work on the structure had been underway with the metal framework largely in place earlier in the day.  According to witnesses at the scene, there were no injuries reported.
