This week we’re speaking to Scotty Stacks – he’s one third of The Manor. They’re a group that fuse elements of hip hop, grime, indie to deliver tunes that Scotty says “celebrate normal life”. The thing that seems to have set them apart maybe above anything else though is the cult following that they’ve built up. They recently sold out the O2 Forum Kentish Town – a couple of us went along and the vibe that they created was undeniable. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that The Manor is responsible for a kind of subculture of it’s own  

 It was clear from speaking to Scotty that The Manor’s approach to creating music and culture is reflected in his own life. Focused, always taking opportunities to learn, ambitious yet there are no pretentions with Scotty – he opens up about his thoughts on subjects like:

• growing up at odds with the education system
