Win the Day: Five Minutes with Pastor Nat Crawford on Oneplace.com

Someone has said it's not how you start that matters, but how you end. As we draw near to the end of our study of Genesis, we'll look at the final days of Jacob--from a reunion with the son he thought dead, to settling down in a rich and fertile land. And we'll be reminded of the importance of maintaining our relationship with God. Because, beginning to end, He will never leave us.

Ron Moore continues our look at the life of Joseph. As we watch Joseph fall even further from slavery to imprisonment, we'll see that his focus and commitment to God never wavers. And when Joseph is raised to second-in-command of all Egypt, even then he doesn't forget God. Through Joseph's life we'll learn how to retain our focus and trust in God even when life doesn't seem to be going our way.

When Joseph went out to the fields to check on his brothers, he could have hardly known that his life was about to be flipped upside-down. In a single day he went from being a favored son, to a humbled slave. Ron Moore takes us through the first part of Joseph's life with the reminder that at all times, God is at work. And even our darkest days can lead to a glorious future.

Jacob was definitely not looking forward to coming home; Jacob had left 20 years earlier escaping the enraged brother he had deceived. And though God had blessed Jacob, would Esau be glad to see his brother again? As Ron Moore continues our study of Jacob, the man who would be named Israel, the father of a nation, we'll see how God used the tensions and conflicts in Jacob's life to renew and strengthen his faith.

After two decades with his uncle, Jacob had a lot to show for his work. So much, in fact, that when God called Jacob to return home, Laban didn't want Jacob to leave. Ron Moore takes us through the conflict that arose between these two men and shows the importance of recognizing the source and purpose of God's provision. And we'll be challenged to consider how God is calling us to use our resources today.
