    In Episode 8 of Wind Yer Neck In we host sports broadcaster Nick Mullins. Nick has a history of working in many different sports and we get to discuss some of those events in great detail. Which of them make the hairs on his neck stand up when he recalls them and which are 'flashbulb' moments. We also delve into journalism and how we perceive the current transformation that journalism is going through and the positives and negatives that come with that. Nick is now the main man on the BT sport Rugby team and along with a handful of top pundits spends a lot of his time travelling and preparing to commentate on Premiership, European and International rugby. We chat about what it is exactly he gets up to and how he makes sure he is best prepared to make the experience is enjoyable for the listeners.     In Episode 7 of Wind Yer Neck In  we host World Cup winning captain John Smit. A man who achieved a huge amount throughout his career gets to give his verdict on culture and lifestyle in South Africa along with the food and drinks that go with it. We delve into his early rugby years and why he choose to play for the 'Natal Sharks' over the 'Bulls.' His Springbok debut and the 3 subsequent World Cups that he participated in along the way. World Cup victory and a Lions test series amongst some of the amazing insight we get. Finally, nearing the end of his career and spending 2 years in London with Saracens and then his transition out of rugby but more importantly what can be improved on for current professionals who are leaving the game.

  • A Talking to with Wayne Barnes

    In episode 6 of Wind Yer Neck In we welcome one of the most highly regarded referee's in Rugby Union. Wayne Barnes joins us and we get the chance to talk through his early transition from a player to a ref and the journey that took him on in tandem with his full time studying and moving on to become a fully qualified barrister. His experiences in Premiership and European Rugby along with flying the world as an international level ref and the challenges that come with that. Finally we get to discuss some real rugby content and how rugby has been used to advise on football's latest move to video match officials and also how the laws in our game, Rugby have changed recently and his views on that.

    In Episode 5 of Wind Yer Neck In we welcome the most capped Premiership player of all time, Richard Wigglesworth. Richard and I discuss early life in the Sale academy and a Grand Slam win at under 21 level. How that bridged the gap to senior rugby and after many frustrations, some welcome success with Sale with 2 trophies in 2 years.  His subsequent move in 2010 to Saracens and all of the success that followed tied in with an England career that lasted 10 years and had many ups and downs. We also discuss his resilience to come back and show his undoubted ability which was capped off by representing his country. Finally we talk life at Worcester, what needs to be done to improve and what life looks like for Chris when post rugby comes.
