The Big Question - Are you inclined to welcome all who come [back]?
The Big Idea - We are called to a radical version of hospitality not found in our culture
SERIES OVERVIEW
Our 2026 focus on hope now brings us to Given to Hospitality. Across the Gospels, Jesus is repeatedly found around tables, at meals, and in the homes of others. Sometimes He receives hospitality as a guest; at other times He becomes the host, providing generously and welcoming those whom others would overlook. In these encounters, the table becomes a place where the Kingdom of God is revealed and where the character of His people begins to take shape.
Over fourteen weeks, we will follow these Gospel passages through four movements. A Generous Table explores the abundance of God’s provision and His care for those in need. A Gracious Host focuses on Jesus' welcome of sinners, outsiders, and the undeserving. The Great Banquet looks ahead to the fulfilment of God’s Kingdom, while Stewards of the Table asks what it means for us to receive others, serve humbly, and live as those entrusted with His hospitality. As we sit at the table with Jesus throughout this series, we will see how His grace forms a people who make room for others and set a table of hope before a watching world.
